TERAGRAM REAL TIME ALERTS TM

The best way to personalize content for your users is to provide subscription based alert notification services. Alerts can be sent via email, SMS or other channels and methods. This is a valuable service for your users and an efficient tool for bringing them back to your information source. This service is particularly useful for real-time content applications such as media publishing, Ecommerce, enterprise....

Teragram Real Time Alerts Package provides a complete alert solution. This package processes documents or information and decides when to forward them to a potentially large number of registered users. Users can specify their interest through easy-to-understand rules that give them the power to precisely define the type of emails they are interested in receiving. Most importantly, users can specify the frequency at which emails should be received.

The following screen shot llustrates an example of a Real Time Alerts page for email. The design of this page can be changed through the use of templates. The page displays the list of rules that the user has already entered into the system. For each rule the page also shows whether the rule is active or not (the On/Off switch). Each rule can be edited or deleted, and new rules can also be created.

When the user clicks on Edit or New, the Alert Definition page is shown (see screen shot below). This new page displays the complete information associated with the current rule. The Alert Definition allows the user to give a name to the rule ("Clinton" in the example), list the words that will trigger the document's selection ("Clinton" and "President" in this example), and optionally list the words or expressions that the document should not contain ("Hillary Clinton" and "senate" in this example).

In addition, a list of categories or topics can be selected to narrow the set of documents for which the Alert should be initiated. For example, only documents belonging in the Category (or Topic) of Business or Technology will be detected.

The Email Format option allows the user to receive HTML or text pages in the email.

Finally the Delivery specifies when the Alert should be sent. In the example above three options are presented: (1) once a day, (2) twice a day, or (3) as soon as possible. Other options can also be presented to the user.
