ABOUT TERAGRAM: ETYMOLOGY

The etymology of the word Teragram reflects the mission of Teragram Corporation:

Tera- has its roots in the Greek meaning monster. The usage of the prefix tera- today harkens back to this sense.

In other words, Teragram provides solutions to the monstrous quantities of information available electronically today!

Information is growing at an exponential rate. Data quantities have ballooned very quickly from kilobytes (thousands of bytes), to megabytes (millions of bytes), and now gigabytes (billions of bytes). The age of TERABYTES (trillions of bytes) is already upon us. Traditional technologies collapse under such demanding conditions. Teragram's proprietary technologies enable information users to confidently enter this new data age.

While other approaches essentially still process information by the bit or byte, Teragram's unique technologies enable richer processing at the level of words, Linguistic relations, and word meanings. Teragram Solutions are also scalable to huge quantities of information, providing the same processing speed for any amount of data, while still encoding that data in a form which is highly compressed. Teragram's enabling technologies offer the world's fastest, most compact, and scalable solutions to the numerous challenges of today's information storage, meaning extraction, text compression, and text correction needs.
